Tyres
Incorporates fitment & Balancing. Tyres are first safety item to be inspected in terms of being safe on the road. Besides the safety aspect for yourself and your family, the insurance implications can be very costly in the event that your tyres are not legal, or the correct application for your vehicle. The aforementioned are make and model specific and can be discussed in store. We offer a full spectrum of budget imports and premium brand tyres, and all our brands come with a manufactures warranty. As a standard prices are quoted with fitment balancing and a new valve.
Balancing and rotation with alignment ( BRA ) are recommended every 8000km for optimal tyre life.
Wheel Alignment
This service is essential when fitting tyres and for the maintenance thereof to maximise tyre life.
With condition of our roads it difficult to keep your alignment in 100% spec, and besides the recommended BRA every 8000km, we recommend a visit to the alignment bay after hitting potholes or clipping pavements.
Shocks (Suspension)
Soft and/or leaking shocks will affect the handling of your car, and the wear patterns on your tyres. This is also the item on the suspension that controls the “wheel bounce” over rough services and under braking. If the travel action is poor, the tyre is not making contact with the road as it should, and will increase brake distances, and add wear to other suspension components as well. Worn shock saddles can also cause “knocking” and contribute to an unstable ride. Wear on rack ends, tie rod ends, and ball joints will also cause unpleasant suspension noise and throw out alignment.
All these items work hand in hand and should be checked before every alignment.
Brakes
This is a given on the importance of the functionality of this all round on the vehicle, including the handbrake (e-brake).
Always ensure trusted brands are fitted, not only for the best brake efficiency, but also the wear and tear on the brake disc. Brake shudders are caused by warped discs. An important note with brakes is to be familiar with what the ABS does in an emergency/skid scenario, as the action of this system catches a lot of people of guard.
